27 Apr Behind the Veil: A Bohemian Dream
This Springfield wedding is one right out of a magazine (or off your Pinterest board)! Breanna and Andrew’s wedding was last September and she is “still in awe at how perfectly everything turned out.”
FFKC: Who helped you make your vision a reality for the big day?
Breanna: For the pre-planning/shopping/organizing, my mom and bridesmaids helped tremendously! Our wedding definitely would not have been the same without my mom’s help (financially, emotionally, and physically)! My good friend, Hannah Hughes and venue owner, Kim Bell did most of the decorating and organizing on the day of the wedding- they brought my vision to life.
Any bride wants their dress to be more than perfect. Breanna told us about her dress selection process as well as her shopping experience her at Fabulous Frocks.
FFKC: How did you pick your wedding gown?
Breanna: My younger sister, Makayla, actually got married 6 weeks before me (sorry mom and dad!) and had purchased her gown at Fabulous Frocks. My family instantly fell in love with Angela and her adorable little shop. When I got engaged I was SO excited to make a trip back to KC so we could visit Fabulous Frocks again! Angela made me feel beautiful in literally every single dress I tried on. I’m usually extremely picky and indecisive (especially when it comes to big things like a WEDDING DRESS), so I was a little scared that I wouldn’t find anything I loved. Well, I had to opposite problem….I was loving every dress I tried on at Fabulous Frocks! However, when I put “my dress” on I instantly knew it was the one. I’ve never felt more beautiful in my entire life! The whole experience was more perfect than I could have imagined, with celebratory champagne and a photo shoot following my “yes” to the dress. I felt like I left Fabulous Frocks that day with a new bestie. I just wish I lived closer so I could visit every day!
Now happily married to her dream man Jordan, Breanna has some words of wisdom for future brides, “First off, I would advise you to buy your dress at Fabulous Frocks! 😉
As stressful as planning may get, soak it all in while it lasts. That short season of your life only happens once, so take a deep breath and enjoy it as much as you can! Don’t stress the small stuff, because in the end it seriously does not matter. Stay focused on your day and remember it’s about you and your HUSBAND (eek!) celebrating your love.
Things I splurged on and do not regret: my dress, photographer, videographer, and DJ.”
