How did you pick your wedding dress?

Like any girl, I had been “Pinteresting” dresses before I was even engaged. My sweet momma just KNEW what she wanted to see me in, so I let her pick and choose different styles, but still had not had that ‘YES’ moment. When we pulled up for our appointment at Fabulous Frocks, I actually saw my dress in the window and proclaimed ‘Momma, that’s the one!’ Now, my momma knows once I get my eyes set on something, there really is no turning back, so she had me try a few on before that one, so we could share the experience together.

When I put my wedding dress on, the dressing room attendant couldn’t stop gushing and saying ‘oh my gosh’ – keep in mind I still have not seen myself in the dress.

Once I stepped out and saw my momma’s face, my decision was confirmed. & then, once I saw myself in it, I couldn’t help but immediately begin crying. It was everything I was hoping to channel from my personality – the flowing sleeves brought out my free spirit, and the lace complimented my traditional south Alabama upbringing. There was no doubt in my mind I would be wearing this dress on my wedding day, and when Amy placed the custom lace cathedral veil on me, I wanted to get married the next day!!

Amy and her team were an absolute dream to work with. They listened to all my wants and I never felt pushed into a decision. As a local wedding planner turned local bride, I could not have asked for a better experience!

Any advice for future brides?

Have fun and don’t let stress win. Planning a wedding IS stressful and the stress is warranted, but let your joy and love conquer that. & when dress shopping – choose the one who takes your breath away – you will be so glad you did!
