Jen and Tyler’s vision of a modern wedding in Kansas City was possible with the help of so many local KC vendors. The couple raved about each local business who helped make the day special for them as a couple. The combination of their ideal venue with her dream dress created an environment perfect for making memories that will last a lifetime.

 

FFKC: Tell us a little bit about your modern wedding day?

Jennifer: We got married 10/7/17 at the Hilton President in downtown Kansas City, MO. The venue was so perfect for the overall feel of the wedding.  My husband and I planned everything with the help of the Hilton President event planners, Samie and Marissa. They were both so easy to work with!

FFKC: How did you select your gown?

Jennifer: I wanted a wedding dress that showed some skin while still being enough coverage to please my mom. Fabulous Frocks is located a few blocks from my house so I knew that would be my first stop. I didn’t really know what style of dress I wanted so I tried on them all – ballgown, a-line, mermaid, everything. Then, I tried on this Mikaella dress that I loved! I loved the lace, neckline, and beaded belt. Angela reached out to the maker to have the straps removed for me as I wanted a strapless option. It was perfect!

FFKC: Any advice for future brides?

Jennifer: Remember to practice mindfulness! The planning and actual wedding day go by so quickly so remember to really embrace each moment and be thankful, even during the most stressful times. Also, remember your veil!! Mine was accidentally left hanging in the closet all day lol!

Each little detail of this modern wedding perfectly captured the love between Jen and Tyler, especially since their planned their big day together! We are so honored to be just a small part of their big day! Congrats to the happy couple!
