Behind the Veil- Victoria’s Nashville Wedding

October 26, 2016

We are absolutely thrilled to share Victoria’s beautiful rustic wedding with you today! We adore the personal touches (her mom made her cake, her sister was her photographer, and her brother-in-law was her videographer!) and the color scheme and setting make this wedding insanely beautiful. We think you’ll agree.

How did you pick out your wedding gown?
My mom actually picked out my wedding gown and it fit like a glove when I tried it on. I had Rachel Swayne, from Alter my Heart, alter my dress and she did an amazing job! It had straps but I took them off, added a French bustle at the bottom, and took in a lot at the top. My veil was long and ivory colored from Sara Gabriel and my sash was custom made by Garnish and Frill to extend longer on the sides.

What was your favorite memory?
ALL OF IT! But honestly, I loved every single detail and how it all came together. My venue was beautiful and we hardly even had to decorate it. We used family quilts on the cake table, bride and groom table, and on the memory table. My family helped make my wedding day unforgettable and I couldn’t have done it without all of them. My mom made the cake, my sister took my pictures, my oldest sister was my matron of honor, my brother in law was the videographer, and my now future brother in law made all of the announcements. Family is what brought my husband and I together and I really wanted family to be the focus of my wedding. Also, during our ceremony, we put together the Unity Cross and that will always be shown in our home to signify that Hunter and I are held together but the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. img_9523img_8552

Any advice for future brides?
Do not stress the little things because at the end of the day, no one will notice if something is out of place or if something wasn’t there. Rent out a venue that includes everything and that you absolutely love so you don’t have to remodel the whole thing but can just embellish what is already there! People say that they don;t remember their wedding and that it goes by too fast and that is somewhat true but I remember every detail of my wedding and will never forget it so just relax, take some deep breaths, and know that everyone is coming to celebrate your big day!

I totally enjoyed it too! Not the least of which was me , the proud father, along with my wonderful wife Kolinda, giving away our beautiful daughter to a well-deserving young man.

WOW! I was there but these are beautiful pictures. It was one of the nicest weddings I’ve been too. Victoria and Hunter are precious couple. God Bless .
