Brian and I got married just before sunset on May 14, 2017 at the Sun Rocks resort in Santorini, Greece. From the moment we stepped off the plane in Santorini, we were in awe. Everything exceeded all of our expectations and even now I cannot believe that it was real.   We live in Florida, and planning a wedding from nearly 6,000 miles away may sound intimidating or even crazy, but with the help of our fabulous wedding planner, and the team that she assembled, Brian and I didn’t have to worry about a thing. We had a private ceremony followed by dinner overlooking the Aegean Sea. The whole experience was like one big fairy tale! We are already planning our next trip over to Santorini.

 My mom and I traveled to Nashville to meet my sister for a weekend of dress shopping in the city. I had 4 appointments with wedding salons scheduled, but was honestly most excited for my second appointment which was at Fabulous Frocks. I really liked the idea of being able to take my dress home with me that day, if I was lucky enough to find the perfect one. I had my heart set on a form fitting, simple gown. I had done research for weeks and had a picture in my head of exactly what I wanted. As I started trying on dresses, I was urged to step out of my comfort zone and try on a totally different style of dress. I am so glad that I did! When I tried on my dress, I felt like a bride for the first time. I knew that this was a dress I would be able to look back at in our wedding photos  and still be thrilled with my choice. Getting it to Santorini was a little nerve wracking, but the dress made it without any issues.

Try on dresses in every style. You will wear nice dresses for various occasions throughout your life, but you only get one opportunity to wear a wedding dress and be a bride. Enjoy your engagement and the wedding planning process. Have fun with it and don’t be afraid to do what is best for you and your fiancé.
